Each “ELVINGTON 66” kit is a unique, handmade piece, produced in a limited and numbered series from zero/29, sold exclusively by Ancillotti Motorcycles.
All modifications are crafted manually and may feature slight imperfections due to the hand-crafted production process.
The graphic concepts are developed by the Ancillotti Style Office, with the consultation of the brand’s historical founder, Alberto Ancillotti, who has personally signed each transformation kit.
The graphics are airbrushed by hand in Florence by Mau Design, a specialist known for designing helmet graphics for many Moto GP riders.
The production process of the “ELVINGTON 66” kit begins with the smoothing of the side panels, dashboard, and front shield, followed by airbrushed graphics, two coats of glossy catalyzed clear paint, a final sanding, and a last coat of catalyzed paint in either matte or glossy finish, depending on the kit’s specifications.
The aluminum “ELVINGTON 66” inscription is milled, tumbled, and brushed, while the tags are printed on sublimated aluminum.
All work is handcrafted in the Florence area through a certified supply chain.
The kit comes with a certificate of warranty and authenticity in both physical and digital format, accessible on the website www-ancillotti.com/kit-scooter, where the frame number of the customized Ancillotti Lambretta, the kit production date, and its customization specifications are recorded.
Each “ELVINGTON 66” kit features an aluminum plaque identifying the kit and its limited-edition number, with Alberto Ancillotti’s signature hand-stamped onto it.

The legendary Lambretta Ancillotti Sprint of world records is back!!! In the early 1960s, Ancillotti was a mechanical workshop specializing in the tuning of racing go-karts, motorcycles, and Innocenti Lambretta scooters, operating in the historic district of San Frediano in Florence. After numerous victories with go-karts and the world speed record set at the Monza circuit in 1965, Scuderia Ancillotti developed a Lambretta Innocenti LI 1st series that would make history: the famous Lambretta Ancillotti Special 250 c.c.. On October 15 and 16, 1966, on the track at Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire, England, at the National Sprint Association’s Official World’s Record Meeting, Ancillotti set two new world records, still unbeaten to this day. The quarter mile standing start run 2 (west-east) was completed in 14.941 seconds, with a top average speed of 60 miles per hour, equivalent to 96.561 kilometers per hour. On the flying kilometer standing start run 7 (east-west), the record time was 29.293 seconds, with a terminal top speed of 106 miles per hour, equal to 170.59 kilometers per hour. The rider was Alberto Ancillotti, son of founder Gualtiero. The event was sponsored by the Nannucci Accessory Company of London. To enhance performance, Officina G. Ancillotti in Florence developed a distinctive exhaust system, later produced in series, which, after achieving these two world records, became a true cult object, sought after by Lambretta enthusiasts all over Europe, especially in England. Across the Channel, these were the years of the Mods and their wild rides on customized scooters. The Lambretta Ancillotti that set the records was equipped with a Veglia Borletti racing tachometer, mounted just below the handlebar and fixed directly to the frame with a bracket. The standard metal fuel tank was removed and replaced with a lightweight plastic canister, holding just under a liter of fuel enough to cover at full throttle at least one kilometer of track. A new seat was created, shaped for a more aerodynamic position, covered in light brown leather, and built using a thin iron sheet. A rear tail section was made from one millimeter thick aluminum, shaped and hand worked to fit the seat. The footboards, oil seal cap, and exhaust heat shield were also made of hand-beaten aluminum to further reduce weight. Here are some technical specifications of the Lambretta Ancillotti record breaking engine, as reported in Motociclismo magazine in 1966: 250 c.c. displacement, 66.4 mm bore, 58 mm stroke, modified timing diagram, turbulence head with drop-shaped design, 10.5 compression ratio, modified Dell’Orto SS 35 B carburetor, declared power of 28 hp at 8000 rpm, fueled by high octane petrol mixed with 6% oil, modified and polished flywheels, enlarged exhaust diameter, tuned expansion exhaust, transmission ratios from the Lambretta 175 TV, modified fork equipped with two telescopic steering dampers. The Ancillotti tuning kit for the new Lambretta "ELVINGTON 66" recalls and pays tribute to the racing style and design of that era. The kit is entirely handcrafted with artisanal expertise in the Florentine region, produced in a limited and numbered edition, signed from zero/29.
