Each “RACER” kit is a unique, handmade piece, produced in a limited and numbered series from zero/29, sold exclusively by Ancillotti Motorcycles.
All modifications are crafted manually and may feature slight imperfections due to the hand-crafted production process.
The graphic concepts are developed by the Ancillotti Style Office, with the consultation of the brand’s historical founder, Alberto Ancillotti, who has personally signed each transformation kit.
The graphics are airbrushed by hand in Florence by Mau Design, a specialist known for designing helmet graphics for many Moto GP riders.
The production process of the “RACER” kit begins with the smoothing of the side panels, dashboard, and front shield, followed by airbrushed graphics, two coats of glossy catalyzed clear paint, a final sanding, and a last coat of catalyzed paint in either matte or glossy finish, depending on the kit’s specifications.
The aluminum “RACER” inscription is milled, tumbled, and brushed, while the tags are printed on sublimated aluminum.
All work is handcrafted in the Florence area through a certified supply chain.
The kit comes with a certificate of warranty and authenticity in both physical and digital format, accessible on the website www-ancillotti.com/kit-scooter, where the frame number of the customized Ancillotti Lambretta, the kit production date, and its customization specifications are recorded.
Each “RACER” kit features an aluminum plaque identifying the kit and its limited-edition number, with Alberto Ancillotti’s signature hand-stamped onto it.

In the late 1960s, following the sporting successes achieved with the Lambrettas prepared by Scuderia Ancillotti and the records set at the Monza Circuit in 1965 and at Elvington, Yorkshire, England, in 1966, Ancillotti prepared several official Lambrettas, transformed with kits for Regolarità racing. The riders of Scuderia Ancillotti were Cozzi, Massai, Piero, and Alberto Ancillotti. This marked the beginning of the production of the Preparazioni Ancillotti Firenze transformation kits for Innocenti Lambrettas. These kits, highly sought after throughout Europe, were sold in distinctive wooden crates branded with the Ancillotti name and were available in three versions: Standard, Special, and Super Sport. The Ancillotti Elaborazione kit from the Standard crate allowed all stock Innocenti Lambrettas with a horizontal cylinder 125, 150, and 175 c.c. to be upgraded to a 250 c.c. engine. It was priced at 30,000 Italian lire and could boost the top speed to 115 km/h. The kit included clutch discs with corresponding springs, a modified cylinder with a 66 mm bore, a turbulence-enhancing cylinder head with a recessed chamber, a custom piston with rings, a wrist pin with circlips, a carburetor adapter for the 20 SHI, a gasket set, extra links to extend the chain, a reinforced chain tensioner, and engine sprockets ranging from 14 to 21 teeth. To achieve maximum performance with the Standard kit, it was necessary to install the exhaust system from the Lambretta Special 150 and the Dell’Orto SHI 20 carburetor. Only a few details revealed the Ancillotti tuning on a Lambretta fitted with the Standard crate kit. The Ancillotti Elaborazione kit from the Special crate was priced at 60,000 Italian lire twice the cost of the Standard crate and allowed the Lambretta to reach a top speed of 130 km/h. It included new clutch discs with springs, a modified cylinder with a 66 mm bore, a turbulence enhancing cylinder head with a chrome plated recess, a custom piston with rings, a wrist pin with circlips, extra chain links, a reinforced chain tensioner, engine sprockets ranging from 14 to 21 teeth, a Dell’Orto 21 SS 30 A carburetor with its gasket set, and an Ancillotti patented exhaust system featuring a 49 mm pipe and an Ancillotti expansion muffler. The rarest Ancillotti Elaborazione crate was the Super Sport, priced at 90,000 Italian lire. It was designed for the most demanding riders sporty and stylish enthusiasts gathered under the banner of Scuderia Ancillotti. In addition to the tuning crate kits, Ancillotti also manufactured and sold sports exhausts and seats, which could be ordered separately. Among the many creative aesthetic customizations adopted by Lambretta riders who installed Ancillotti kits, one of the most striking was the American Dollar symbol featured on a sticker created by Scuderia Ancillotti Firenze to celebrate the first victory after the 1965 world speed record at Monza. The most iconic color combination for these Lambrettas was black and Ancillotti yellow, which would later become the signature color of Ancillotti motorcycles. In the RACER re-design kit, Ancillotti reintroduces this graphic style, blending it with the modern lines of the new Lambretta, capturing the essence of Lambretta enthusiasts’ creativity. The RACER kit is entirely handcrafted with artisanal expertise in the Florentine region, produced in a limited and numbered edition, signed from zero/29.
